I'm running around City of Heroes with my lowbie Emp/Dark Defender alt and team up with a lowbie tanker. "Great!" I think to myself, "This will make missions faster!" So, off we go to kick some ass and look good doing it. Shortly into the first mission, the tanker tells me to just heal him and let him do the damage. Grumbling, I comply for a bit. After all, I needed to conserve energy on my alt. So, she becomes a healbot. Let me say this: BORING. I try to explain to mighty tank that my Dark blasts have a -to hit debuff on them, making it harder for the baddies to hit him. "But my attacks are stronger," he tells me. I facepalm. After a while, he gets overwhelmed by a mob and starts asking for help other than healing. I gladly start indulging in my blaster instincts. Once the mob is whittled down, he tells me, "Okay. I got this." Alrighty, sure. As we continue on, I see my energy is near full all of the time and that the tanker isn't taking much damage, so I start firing away anyways. Hey, I'm bored. He gets a annoyed that I keep utilizing more than two of my powers.
Needless to say, that was the only mission I ran with him. My Emp/Dark is NOT a healbot.
Also, he was pretty insistent on getting an answer to if I was a guy playing a girl or just a girl. What does it matter? If my character has boobies, she's a girl! Besides, how would he know if I lied to him? Interestingly enough, I have yet to meet a girl who had issues about someone else playing the opposite gender in a game.
